Equipped with a dynamic core, the Solid Cedar top of the R1CRCE initiates a warm, mellow tone which is further enhanced by the Rosewood back and sides. Although the 'OM' body shape is usually tonally strongest in the mid-range, the use of Rosewood ensures a somewhat increased low-end response and high-mid sparkle.
SOLID CEDAR TOP
Cedar is after Spruce the most used tonewood for the top of an acoustic guitar. It's less dense then Spruce and therefor softer then Spruce. This results in a warmer more defined tone. Cedar also is more articulate when it comes to lower volume playing, it amplifies soft tones. It's exceptional for fingerpicking, which makes it the perfect tonewood for guitars with a smaller body size like the Auditorium, Orchestra Model or Parlor. It is also often the prefered tonewood for the top of a higher-end classical guitar.
ROSEWOOD BACK & SIDES
Rosewood is a beautiful rich tonewood with deep colours which is beloved by luthiers all over the world to build high quality guitars from. Rosewood has a warm and very resonant tone, with plenty of volume. It's one of the hardest tonewoods being used for the body of a guitar but because of its porous nature it has a generaly warmer tone then some of the softer tonewoods being used.
