The foundation of the 318’s tone comes from select solid Adirondack spruce tops. Adirondack delivers a stiff, loud, lightweight top with powerful fundamental tone and excellent projection.
Combine the hand-picked Adirondack tops with select solid Mahogany back and sides, and you have the all-solid basics for guitars that have powered music for decades.
We finish the 318 with classy, low-key fretboard dots on the rosewood fretboard, and a classic black pickguard to protect the top. The 318’s classic rosette design and tortoise binding complete the traditional look.
For players looking for a guitar that shines for fingerstyle but can still cut through a jam session, the RO-318 offers the best of both worlds at a fraction of the price of a vintage instrument.
SOLID SPRUCE TOP
Spruce provides an ideal balance between strength and flexibility, hence its overwhelming popularity as the wood of choice for tops of acoustic guitars. Spruce’s versatile sonic character makes it ideal for a variety of musical genres and playing styles.
SOLID MAHOGANY BACK & SIDES
The beloved mahogany wood has been a standard for back and sides on premium acoustics for many decades. The warm and well rounded low-end creates a basis for all music to reach it's audience. The mid-range is very strong and fullbodied, while the high-end is delicate and very pleasant.
