Dreadnought guitars (named after the big, powerful warships) have proven extremely popular for the last century and have become the ‘industry standard’ guitar shape throughout the world. The Brunswick BD200 model is a Dreadnought acoustic guitar in the traditional style with squared shoulders. Its dimensions and design allow the instrument to project its sound very effectively, being able to deliver a loud but balanced tone and be heard as part of a band or ensemble.

TRAVEL GUITAR

Most guitars designated the moniker "mini" are designed to function as an ideal travel guitar. The main concerns for a travel guitar is that it has to travel easily while not compromising the playability or sound too much. The shorte scale of a travel guitar means that the strings will inherently be looser, which means that it is easy to play with a heavier gauge set of guitar strings, which in turn means that it helps out the sound. The body of a travel guitar is ofcourse quite a bit smaller then that of a normal sized guitar. The tone a travel guitar makes is therefor more comparable to that of an Orchestra Model, well articulated and dynamic with a bright open sound. The low end of a travel guitar is the one area where a normal sized guitar is superior, this can partly be compensated by stringing the guitar with heavier gauge guitar strings.

MAHOGANY TOP

Mahogany is usually used for the back and sides of acoustic guitars, yet it's also a very good tonewood to create the top of a guitar out of. It’s warm and mellow, providing excellent low frequencies, pronounced lower-mids and unpronounced, yet appealing, high ends. The result is a balanced tone with crisp and strong fundamentals.

MAHOGANY BACK & SIDES

The beloved mahogany wood has been a standard for back and sides on premium acoustics for many decades. The warm and well rounded low-end creates a basis for all music to reach it's audience. The mid-range is very strong and fullbodied, while the high-end is delicate and very pleasant.

OPEN PORE FINISH

Not only does the open pore finish enhance the resonance of the woods but it also reduces the weight of the guitar for improved playability. This model’s natural and brown finishes feature gloss top for high-end vintage look and feel.
